Eremurus

Monday, March 14 | Cut Flower Profiles, Cut Flowers

Originating from areas of Iran, Turkey and Afghanistan, the Eremurus derives its name from the Greek words for ‘desert’ and ‘tail’.  Sometimes called the ‘Foxtail Lily’, the tuberous plant has been cultivated in Britain since 1875.  The enormous bloom spikes are great for making a statement in larger arrangements and event work.  The flowers are available in pinks, yellows, oranges and cream tones and are widely available during the summer months.
